Beards, hot towels, and the quiet chair — he will not ask about your weekend unless you start it. Tuesday kids' cuts are his, and he keeps the sticker tin stocked out of his own pocket.
The pole is the sign. Spinning means a chair frees up inside ten minutes; still means we're booked to the wall and you're better off tapping a slot up there. We keep two walk-in windows a day — 11:30 and 4:00 — and they go to whoever is standing in the shop, not whoever calls.
Card, tap, cash, all fine, no minimum. Tips go in the jar by the mirror and get split three ways at close on Saturday. We don't take a deposit and we don't use a booking app that asks for a percentage before you've sat down.
The Standard runs 25 minutes. Skin fade 40. Beard and hot towel 20, and we don't rush the towel. The Works is an hour flat. If a chair is running more than ten minutes behind you get a text, not a shrug — that's why we ask for a number.
There's a percolator on the shelf by the window and it's free. It goes on at 8:40 and nobody makes a second pot, so temper your expectations after two. Kettle and a tin of tea for anyone who'd rather. Mugs, not paper cups — take one, leave it on the shelf when you're done.
Tuesday afternoons are the kids' rate. A first haircut gets a lock taped to a card, and a photo on the back wall if a parent says it's fine. Chair C is the quiet chair. Nobody has to make conversation to get a good cut here.
