Trade rules

House rules, in the order I walk away

Numbered by how fast breaking one ends the conversation. Rule one is instant.

  1. Slabs stay slabbed.Graded cards trade as graded cards. Nobody cracks a case mid-deal, ever.
  2. Photos before promises.Raw cards get corners-and-back shots in natural light — both directions, no exceptions.
  3. Comps set the floor, the chase sets the ceiling.Recent sales are the starting number. If it is one of my four chase slots, expect me to overpay and say so.
  4. No mystery provenance. If a card smells like it walked out of someone else's binder, the trade is over and so is the acquaintance.
  5. Table first, mail second.First trade happens across a table at league night. Shipping is for people who have already shaken my hand.
