The B.9 came to us as a barn find with full logs and a bent spar. The log below is the honest state of her — updated after every shop Saturday.
Fabric off, every fitting tagged and photographed. The spar damage was exactly where the logs said it would be.
New spruce scarfed in at 12:1, glue line inspected twice. Every wire and fitting re-plated or replaced.
Wings covered and shrunk; fuselage half-done. The shop smells the way a hangar should again.
The Halcyon-5 is back from overhaul and crated. Rigging wires cut, waiting on the fuselage.
Twenty minutes, gear down, straight out and back. Coffee after. You're welcome to stand at the fence.
Visiting
The strip is private, the coffee is not. Three rules keep it that way.
Call before you file. The strip shares a fence line with cattle — we walk it before anyone lands.
Left-hand circuit, 800 feet. Grass is 2,400 feet with trees on the south end; go around early and nobody minds.
Buyers fly second. Any aircraft for sale gets demonstrated by us first, then the checkout ride is yours.
